Turf, Paddocks, and Wildflower Meadows

A popular job in the annual list, turfing is up there as one of the most frequently requested. Whether for your own garden, biodiversity, rewilding, or as part of managed paddocks and horse leys, wildflower and herb planting within lawns, amenity grass and pasture is becoming more commonplace.

For private gardens it is much more popular now to lay turf with clover and other small flower species already sown in with the grass seed. It's not to everyone's taste, so standard 'just grass seed' turf is still very much available for a standard garden lawn, with different grass seed mixes offering a finer or more durable surface.

Biodiversity rewilding is often a large-scale, approach for restoring ecosystems by reducing human intervention and allowing natural processes to drive habitat recovery. 

- It focuses on increasing species diversity, improving ecological resilience, and addressing climate change by creating for example, self-sustaining meadows, wetlands and woodlands. It can often be implemented in conjunction with SuDS planning requirements.

Adding wildflowers to a horses' grazing ley increases the availability of naturally available elements and nutrients in their forage. Native British wildflowers are particularly palatable and completely safe for your horse, complementing their diet reducing the need for many supplements.

We are able to over-seed existing grassland, paddocks and horse leys to improve field coverage, as well as offer standard turfing for more formal lawned areas.
