Hedging, Fencing, and Boundaries

Another staple job across our semi-rural location is hedge planting and fencing, of all kinds!

It can be small or large quantities of evergreen hedging - some opting for a small 60-70cm plant, or sometimes up to 2.5-3.0 metres tall for property boundaries, walkways, or screening. Popular varieties include English Laurel, Yew, Photinia 'Red Robin', and Portuguese Laurel, all offering different growth rates and coverage.

Fencing is generally much more varied. A staple being closeboard fencing in 3m sections with either timber or concrete posts, along with more rural fence styles such as post & rail, either half round for horse paddocks or treated 4x2 rails for something a little smarter. Along with Cleft Chestnut fencing, and stock fencing (livestock netting) for sheep and cattle fields with strengthening line wire and barbed wire in varying degrees. We have also installed wattle & Hazel hurdles and Metal Estate Railing, offering a heavy duty painted wrought iron or galvanised finish - popular for country estates, parkland, and formal rural property frontages.
